Ramadan with UnitedUmmah

Updated: Dec 7, 2020

To truly care for one another, we must love for others what we love for ourselves. What better way to love one another than to give charity? Apart from professing belief and prayer, charity is considered the third most important component of our faith.

Amongst all the uncertainty we are currently living in, Ramadan comes to us as a blessing, a time where the gates to Jannah are open and a time for us all to reflect, give and grow. Insha'allah this coming month will bring with it good health, unity and a positive outlook to what is to come.

Ramadan is a special time within UnitedUmmah, it is a time where with your kind donations we are able to provide iftaar for every day of this blessed month; a time where every child at the orphanage is sending extra dua your way when they open their fasts and see food on their plates. As such it has again come the time where we ask you to show your generosity and donate what you can, insha'allah Allah swt will double your reward and give you much more in return.

We at UnitedUmmah pride ourselves in complete transparency with all our donors and have always shown you that 100% of all your donations go towards providing for the orphans and Ramadan is no exception. As with every year in the past, this year also we will use your donations to buy rations and sadakha for the orphanage, our aim is to be able to provide a fresh meal for each child at iftaar time.

Covid 19 may have caused uncertainty and panic world wide but our mission is still top priority and it is in these uncertain and precedent times that we must stand together and continue to provide as best we can. This year we will only be concentrating on providing for the orphanage this is due to government measures to try and combat the spread of the virus, we will however be monitoring this situation and insha'allah as soon as we are able to do more we will.

The Prophet, upon him be peace, said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

UnitedUmmah needs you! It is with your donations that we will be able to see through ramadan, insha'allah as you sit for iftaar with a warm meal on your plate, a child at the orphanage will also do the same.

We look forwards to sharing pictures of the children throughout ramadan in our next blog post.

Until then Ramadan Kareem for everyone at UnitedUmmah!
